THE CAPITAN SMOKEY BEAR LIONS CLUB

  This club is a relatively new service organization in Capitan (June 2005). There are 41 members at present.

We recently were acknowledged as the 3rd best (out of 37) Lions Club in Southern N.M.!

  Some of our projects include: eye screenings/exams/

and glasses for those in need. We have sponsored or co-sponsored 3 cleanup days in Capitan! All very successful!

   Our next project – the old Fire Station. Our plans? To make part of it into a youth center! Be on the lookout for that!
